Merchant & Mills The Billy Gilet Menswear Paper Pattern
The Billy is a practical gilet with pockets, which can be lined or unlined, with the facings on the inside or outside.

For sizing, material list, and finished measurements, please refer to the images.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Sizes: 34-54 included; Chest: 34″ – 54″ Waist: 28″- 48″

Recommended Fabrics: Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 7-12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. For the lining we’d suggest a barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise – cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.

Fabric Requirements:

Sizes 34-38, 44” wide = 2.75 yards
Sizes 40-54, 44” wide = 3.5 yards

Sizes 34-46, 55-60” wide = 2.75 yards
Sizes 48-54, 55-60” wide = 3.5 yards
